A combination of recent events (re-reading Tuesdays with Morrie and the bombs at the Boston Marathon) combined with the experience of evacuating from the Waldo Canyon fire which burned within a few hundred yards of my house have spurred a new desire to rethink the future - my future and the future of my family.

Quoting a potential new client in a discussion just this morning:

Succelsior is more than a person, more than a business, more even than an idea...

Succelsior is a complete shift in the way we think about our goals, our dream and our life.

One way of describing this shift is a way I've alluded to a few times in my success posts over the past few months.

Yesterday's post was all about Action!  We simply MUST take action if we ever want to achieve our goals and dreams.

Another aspect of this for me is a phrase I heard a very long time ago and have held onto ever since:  "You either lead, follow or get out of the way."

In this spirit, I have tried to lead what I've been telling you to do, which is to take ACTION!

Your Dreams are our mission.

The next step in the journey of a thousand miles is knowing that Dreams do come true.  The third step in the journey of a thousand miles is learning the only way that Dreams come true is by taking action on them.

Dreaming is not enough.  Even making plans to achieve your Dreams is not enough.

We MUST TAKE ACTION fo rour Dreams to come true.  There is simply no other way.

Succelsior is our tagline:  Your Dreams. Our Mission.

In the simplest terms possible, you pursuing and achieving your Dreams is the Mission of Succelsior.  There are many different arms of Succelsior to assist you in doing this, but just as the spokes of a wheel, all of Succelsior's arms come back to one center - you pursuing and achieving your Dreams.

Whatever your Dream may be, Succelsior exists because I believe they are worthwhile, they are important and they should be pursued!

Now we know that Succelsior is: achieving ever higher goals in your business and personal life

In the time I've been running Succelsior, I've noticed a more than occassional misunderstanding that the phrase "achieving ever higher goals" means that one has to begin with big goals.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.  Beginning with small goals is the way to go, for many reasons:

How did Succelsior come to be?

After digging myself in a large and multi-faceted hole including debt, no employment prospects and not future plans - I found assistance through a dedication to personal development: books, tapes, audio seminars, anything I could get my hands on.

Saturday's message is very simple:  It's not finished, it's never finished.

When talking about health, weight loss or any type of fitness in general - the above message is one that must be remembered and practiced, for so many reasons:

Well, I don't know where Thursday's post went as it no longer shows, but it was about pushing through your metaphorical Wednesdays with all of your goals, not just your weight or fitness goals.
